“Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled was designed to deliver fun in unexpected and exciting ways. The Grand Prix does that by giving players a reason to fall in love with the game over and over again,” said Thomas Wilson, Co-Studio Head at Beenox. “Crash Team Racing was an iconic game in the ‘90s that influenced how gamers played kart racer games, and we’re thrilled to continue that tradition with Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled by introducing new content to players in ways they haven’t imagined yet— the race definitely isn’t over once you cross the finish line.”
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled will include Tawna as the first earnable character in the Grand Prix. The Trophy Girls Nitro Squad will also be included, as well as Spyro from the Spyro the Dragon series that was recently announced to be coming to the Nintendo Switch. CTR Nitro-Fueled will feature remastered modes, characters, and tracks from the original title, with players able to earn characters and karts from Crash Nitro Kart and content from Crash Tag Team Racing. The game will launch for $39.99, with the digital deluxe version, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled - Nitros Oxide Edition launching for $59.99.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled launches on June 21, 2019, and will be available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch.

Quick Take:

I've always been a fan of Crash. I will definitely be getting this game when it releases, but now I actually feel pretty good about buying it due to how consumer-friendly their post-launch content is. Good on Activision, which is a really weird thing to say.
