Carnivores Reborn

Ever since humanity learned of the existence of the dinosaurs, people have dreamed of hunting them down and mounting their heads on walls. Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter Reborn, from the creator of Mutant Football League, offers the opportunity to bring this primal dream to life. Released earlier today, it is the sequel to the original Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter.

The original Carnivores was released over 15 years ago, and has already had a number of sequels and spin-offs. This new installment takes the series back to its roots of hunting dinosaurs in natural locations.

Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter Reborn is a first person hunting game that invites players to hunt the ultimate prey with their choice of weaponry. Choosing between rifles, crossbows, or tranquilizer guns, hunters may take dinosaurs down through lethal or non-lethal means. Other items and gadgets, such as a GPS, can be used to give you the upper hand on your targets.

Making use of trails and footprints, players may track dinosaurs through various, fully 3D environments, including jungles, marshes, and deserts. Keeping track of your surroundings will be key to a successful hunt, as each environment is its own open world that allows players to roam freely in the search for new dinosaurs to take down.

Every dinosaur in Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter Reborn will react differently to your presence, with the game boasting realistic, advanced AI. While players are supposed to be the hunters, not all dinosaurs will be afraid and some may choose to fight instead of flee. The correct approach will change depending on what you hunt, and you will need to adapt to your prey if you want to see them mounted in your trophy room.

Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter Reborn is available on Steam for $14.99 or your regional equivalent.

Will you be taking the hunt to the ultimate prey? Do you think this new installment can live up to the expectations set by the original Carnivores?
