A Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Black Market revamp was announced by Treyarch, and you won't have to wait to see it in action — it arrived on November 5, 2019. A day to remember indeed!

If you're unfamiliar with the Black Market, it can best be described as akin to a Battle Pass in games like Fortnite. Unlike Fortnite, however, the rewards are only really doled out by playing competitive multiplayer matches or the Blackout game mode. Now, it's about to get an overhaul with some neat new improvements.

Four major changes are highlighted in a blog post from Treyarch. Firsly, a regularly-scheduled "Pick-a-Weapon Bribe" bundle will be made available for 50 Reserve Cases that will let you select a weapon of your choice. (More details on that below.) This will be supplemented by a rotating "Reserves Stack" that will always show an item from Reserves that you don't yet own; this particular item can be unlocked by trading in two Reserve Cases.

Two new "My Deals" slots will be on a rotation and can be unlocked with Reserve Cases; these, too, will always show items that you don't currently own. Furthermore, the "Reserves Stack" and "My Deals" will refresh on a regular basis, and they'll also refresh when you've acquired one of the items on display.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Black Market Revamp Lets You Pick Some Weapons

The new "Pick-A-Weapon bribe" bundle is going to be made available in Blackjack's Shop and the Black Market Reserves tab. This will essentially allow you to unlock a weapon of your choice via a Crate that will also include 2 Reserve items and 5 "Duplicate-Protected" Crates, all for the cost of 50 Reserve Cases. The addition of this new option as part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Black Market revamp should make it much easier for players to get the weapons they want.

One final highlight in this update is a list of the four ways that players can earn reserve cases:

  • Completing Contracts in any mode.
  • Earning Cases through the standard Reserve earn rate in Multiplayer and Blackout.
  • Unlocking Contraband Tiers after Tier 50.
  • Completing up to 2 Daily Tier Skips (includes the bonus Daily Tier Skip in Zombies) for additional Reserve Cases each day after Tier 50 has been reached.

You'll finally be able to get the guns you want when the Black Market revamp launches sometime today.
