After the announcements for Heroes of the Storm and World of Warcraft, production director for Hearthstone, Jason Chayes, was called up to the stage at BlizzCon 2014.

The first unveiling for Hearthstone was that the game was finally going to be made available for Android users in December of this year. With the major success of the game on iOS - quickly becoming one of the top games on the App Store -  Activision/Blizzard is certainly looking to repeat that success in the Android market.

Goblins vs. Gnomes will be the first Hearthstone expansion.

Chayes' next announcement spoke to the very beginnings of the Warcraft universe; an old rivalry between two Alliance and Horde races. These are, of course, the Gnomes and the Goblins, and they will be at the center of Hearthstone's very first expansion: Goblins vs. Gnomes. This expansion is due to launch in December of this year.

There was no announcement of any specific new cards save for two items: The Explosive Sheep and the Annoy-o-Tron. More card announcements and other info will be available during the Fireside Chat starting at 3:30PM PST.

Proving they aren't even close to being done, the Game Director of StarCraft II, Dustin Browder, was called to the stage. His big announcement was the conclusion of the StarCraft II trilogy with StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void. Players will play as the Protoss who are looking to reclaim their homeworld by reuniting the scattered tribes and finding ancient technology.

The final chapter of the StarCraft II trilogy.

During the course of the game, players will gain the Spear of Adun; an ancient Archship that will always hover above you during gameplay and can be called upon to attack the Xel'naga threat. The game will also reveal the fates of all the main characters including Raynor and the Zerg queen, Kerrigan.

The game will feature new multiplayer units, including the Lurker, a player favourite from the original StarCraft. There is also a new Archon mode in which you and a friend take command of a single army together.

StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void will be released as a stand-alone title; players will not be required to own the previous two entries in the series to play, allowing anyone to jump right into the story.

There will be plenty more to talk about with these two games as their panels run, so keep checking TechRaptor for more!
