The Binding of Isaac Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac Rebirth is coming to the Xbox One. Recently announced by developer Edmund McMillen on the game’s Tumblr, it is now official that the popular indie game will soon be available for Xbox. July 23rd is the date given for The Binding of Isaac Rebirth’s release on Xbox One.

Accompanied with the announcement of the release date are some short videos showing the game being played on  the Xbox One. Nicalis recently announced on twitter that The Binding of Isaac Rebirth will be launching on Wii U and the new 3DS in North America on July 23rd as well.

“2 consoles down, one to go! this will be my first ever universal release (even more universal now that it’s also going to be on all current gen handhelds) makes me really happy to see something so freaking weird releasing on EVERYTHING”, McMillen writes on Tumblr.
The Afterbirth DLC  is still in development and will be available on the Xbox One when it’s ready. There’s some new info about Afterbirth as well in McMillen’s most recent post. A new passive item called “More Options” has been added to the DLC. This item will appear as a gold question mark on the player’s forehead. “More Options” will  turn all treasure rooms into double treasure rooms giving players more control over how they play The Binding of Isaac Rebirth.

“More Options” can be found in stores throughout the game. There will also be a chance that double treasure rooms can be found throughout The Binding of Isaac Rebirth without the “More Options” item. This new rare room will have small chances of being found and will be affected by luck. Some treasure rooms will simply have two items to choose from, others may have enemies or obstacles to overcome before choosing your treasure.

The Binding of Isaac Rebirth will be available for Xbox One on July 23rd. Follow the game’s blog to stay up to date with the Afterbirth DLC and other Binding of Isaac news.
