With pre-orders for Nintendo’s new console, the Nintendo Switch, being sold out almost anywhere, Best Buy has announced that on top of all of the Switchs that are currently pre-ordered, many of their sites will also have a stock of new consoles beyond that.
This means that even if you were unable to pre-order a Nintendo Switch in time, there is a chance that if you get to a Best Buy early enough this Friday, March 3rd, you could get your hands on one. Best Buy has also said that those who are waiting at Best Buy for the Nintendo Switch will be given numbers as they wait to ensure that everyone who got in line in time will get their console. There is also a limit of one Swtich per customer.
For those who have preordered, as well as those who are trying to get a Nintendo Switch on Day One, Best Buy will also have 600 stores across the country hosting midnight launch events. This means that you can purchase the Nintendo Switch, games, and accessories starting midnight local time this Friday. If your local store is not open for a midnight release, you’ll have to arrive at 9 or 10 when the store opens to try to purchase the Nintendo Switch.
You can also visit the Best Buy website to see a list of all of the Best Buy stores that will be participating in midnight store openings for the Nintendo Switch. It has also been revealed on this website that while supplies last people buying Nintendo Switchs will get a free double sided Zelda poster showing Link looking out over the land, or Link scaling a cliff face.
