Developer Donkey Crew and publisher Snail Games have announced the Early Access release window for city-building survival hybrid Bellwright.

The game, which sees you build up your very own town and then lead it to revolution against the crown, launches on PC via Steam in December, with console versions also on the way next year.

Bellwright bears some similarities to Toplitz's Dynasty games, like Sengoku Dynasty or Wild West Dynasty.

Framed for regicide, you must build a force capable of marching on the Sovereign's territory and taking your revenge. In order to do so, you'll build a town, populate it with villagers, and gradually discover the truth behind what happened to you.

Bellwright will let you build your town's buildings, find resources from the land around you, and constantly grow your settlement in order to attract new villagers.

Your environment will pose a constant challenge, so you'll have to find ways to coexist peacefully with your surroundings lest you fall prey to nature before you can discover your destiny.

Other in-game factions will present a dilemma for you; will you forge alliances with them and trade, or will you try to go it alone? On the one hand, alliances are valuable, but on the other, can you trust those around you?

There are also plenty of secrets to discover in Bellwright's world, and many of them pertain to you and your situation, so you'll be able to find out why you were framed and what it means for the future of the monarchy.

We don't have a specific release date for Bellwright in Early Access yet, but we know that the game is scheduled to land on Steam in December.

Stay tuned for more info about Bellwright, including a potential PC release date and more information about when this promising-looking survival city-builder is scheduled to hit consoles.
