Most recently, in April's Inside Xbox, it was featured alongside Hotline Miami Collection as new releases on the Xbox One console, and we received May 28th as an Xbox One Atomicrops' release date. Developer Bird Bath Games and publisher Raw Fury finally gave their wacky post-apocalyptic rogue-like farming simulator, Atomicrops, an official 1.0 version release date. The title will release exclusively on PC through the Epic Games Store after the studio announced it is an Epic exclusive in September 2019 for one year. In addition, it will be officially releasing on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch consoles on the aforementioned date.
Of course, the developer wants to get Atomicrops out of the gate with a bang. The 1.0 version will indeed have more content than the game's current state. For now, the game will receive "two new spouses, new mushroom power-ups, and a total of 10 difficulty tiers with score multipliers" on release. The studio teased future content updates as well, as the team continues to work on more crop types, dungeons to loot, and mutated creatures to grow in your farm. Atomicrops is a farming simulator at its core but with dungeon crawling and roguelike mechanics, and the more you dive into it, the crazier it gets as the crops grow more mutated. Will there be a limit to how crazy things can get? No one knows.
Atomicrops 1.0 goes live on May 28th for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Make sure to check out the launch announcement trailer below for more information on the game's features, and a look at its wacky gameplay and art style.
