The game that introduced perhaps the most creative way to fight life energy feeding vampires imaginable (or the strangest, depending on who you ask), Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed, is getting a sequel. The details come from Famitsu, though there are very few coming out at the moment. What we do know is that the sequel is being called Akiba's Beat and it will be released on PS4 and PS Vita.

Also revealed is a teaser site with a countdown. It seems we will find out a bit more in a few days.

Acquire's Akiba's Trip came out in Japan two and a half years ago on PS3 and PS Vita initially, following with a PS4 release several months later with a few enhancements, finally culminating in last year's release on Steam.  It was localized in North America by XSeed Games, while NIS America handled the European localization.

Akiba's Trip took place all around an accurately modeled Akihabara, the veritable capital of gaming, anime merchandise, and PC hardware in Tokyo, even including over a hundred real shops that were in real life Akihabara for the player to shop at, even so much as allowing the player to collect fliers that advertise the real life addresses of these shops.  The protagonist, Nanashi, was your average otaku after some quality anime goods when he is turned into a life force vampire called a "Synthisters" after being duped by a shady organization for an experiment.  These vampires are all around Akihabara, feeding on people's will to live, and the most effective way to deal with them is to expose a majority of their body to sunlight... by removing their clothing.

As of this moment, we do not have more than the title of the sequel and that it will be an Action RPG, but it would be pretty reasonable to assume it will still center itself around Akihabara (albeit, slightly updated, as a few of the shops in the flyers the player could collect appear to have closed since the game was made).  We will post updates as they come.
