Today developer NLT Media launched its adult adventure game The Genesis Order on Steam in early access

The game, which has been in development for quite some time, funded via Patreon, can now be purchased on Steam for $14.99. Do keep in mind that the listing on Valve's portal includes imagery that is unsafe for work.

The Genesis Order is actually the third game of a series following Lust Epidemic and Treasure of Nadia. While the focus on adult interactions is certainly a thing (and very extensive), it's one of the games within the genre that comes with rather accomplished storytelling.

It's one of the many examples of a flourishing adult gaming industry that has taken root on Patreon in the past few years, with independent and even solo developers receiving regular funding from many fans while providing content that regular publishers tend to steer clear from.

The story is about a young police officer investigating on a famous criminal organization. Yet, as his investigation delves deeper below the surface of the city of North Santiva, he uncovers much deeper and darker plots and dangers that go much beyond the borders of the apparently peaceful town.

The gameplay includes adventure, exploration, puzzles, and visual novel-style narration, with tons of animated cutscenes.

Despite the fact that the game is in early access, it's already close to its completion, with the main story fully playable. That being said, the developer has promised plenty of bonus content to be added.

At the moment, the duration of the early access period has not been announced.
