Thief II: The Metal Age continues the story of Garrett, master thief, and the City he resides in. While Garrett continues to ply his trade, a new evil rises in the order of the Mechanists, and the forces of a corrupt sheriff patrol the streets. Despite desiring a low profile, Garrett gets swept up into another world-saving plot. Along the way meets up with an old "friend", journeys across the rooftops, and confronts the schemes and devices of the Mechanists.
Thief II is the sequel to Thief: The Dark Project and its re-release Thief Gold. It released exclusively for the PC in 2000.
