The Willowbrooke Post release date has been pushed back to later in March. Although the game was originally planned to release on March 14, 2019, the developers have elected to hold things back for a couple of weeks. On the upside, a merch crate contest has been announced and will give players the opportunity to win some sweet Willowbrooke Poste swag!
Willowbrooke Post is a game that combines the adorable town life of Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley with the paperwork-pushing problems of Papers, Please. Your parents have had to leave on an unexpected trip and charged you with running the only post office in the tiny town of Willowbrooke. You'll interact with the characters, handle their mail, and learn how to cook delicious meals.
Unfortunately, the Willowbrooke Post release date has been delayed to March 27, 2019. The developers state in a Steam Community news post that the game needs "a bit more time in the oven"; presumably, they mean that they're ironing out some bugs and polishing things up for its eventual Early Access release at the end of March.
Aside from the delay in the game's release date, a contest is being run by the developers where you can win the neat swag that you see above. The contents of the exclusive Willowbrooke Post merch crate include a steel mug, a tote bag, a pen, a tea towel, and more. All you have to do to enter is to answer the following five questions by commenting on the news post regarding this delay:
- What is the name of Pete's delivery van?
- Who does Magnifique receive lots of mail from?
- Who has left a recipe book at the Willowbrooke Post office for you to find?
- Which color stamp do you need to use when an envelope is damaged?
