Welcome to Shoestring Gaming, the weekly segment where we at TechRaptor like to highlight some great deals on some great games so that you all can have a chance to play some new games while staying within your budget. This week we’re going to be looking at the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale that started two days ago, a fantastic game deal from BundleStars and a great game to play with your friends from GoG.

LEGO Batman 3

Save the world with Batman and the rest of the DC Universe one brick at a time!

The Xbox Ultimate Game Sale is live giving discounts of up to 75% off for various titles on Xbox One and Xbox 360. You can find a full list of all of the games that are currently on sale here. At the moment, even though there are plenty of discounts, the one stand out is LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Deluxe Edition, which not only has the game and all of its DLC, but is as low as $13.75 for Xbox Gold members and $18 for Silver members. In LEGO Batman 3, it’s just about the Bat as you run into characters from all over the DC universe with over 150 unlockable characters to play as in plenty of levels and almost just as many open world environments—just watch out for the Green Loontern. This deluxe edition also includes all six DLC packs that each contain their own characters and level to explore, and also be sure to get the two free character DLC packs that are also available.

Next up for fans of Middle Earth you can leap into action in Middle-Earth: Shadows of Mordor. I know that this isn’t the first time we’ve talked about Shadows of Mordor in Shoestring, but we liked the game and want to make sure people know when they’re able to get it. This time it isn’t just the game as you also get all 18 pieces of DLC included for the price of $19.99. This DLC includes challenges, costumes, new runes for Talion as well as full story DLC.

Screencheat King of the Hill

Remember that one kid who would watch your screen in golden eye? They’re gonna be great at this…

Lastly, a fun party game to have your friends around for, Screencheat is currently on sale over at GoG. Screencheat is a first person shooter where it’s you against everyone else, the only thing is that everyone including yourself is invisible. This leaves you with only one option, you need to keep your eye on your screen as well as on your opponents screen so that you’re able to know where they are and hopefully get off a lucky shot. The levels are all designed to help you get a general idea of where your target could be, but it’s up to you to figure out where they are exactly and try to come out on top!

What do you think of this weeks selection of deals? Are there any games you’re planning on getting? What are the best places that you look for great deals on games?

I have been playing all kinds of games for as long as I can remember with a particular interest in action adventure and platforming titles. While I am primarily an Xbox gamer I also spend a fair bit of time on the PS4 and on my PC in VR.
