Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile game is getting Suicide Squad content just in time for the upcoming movie release. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that the mobile version of the popular DC superhero fighting game will be getting iconic villains inspired by the Suicide Squad film releasing in theaters August 5th. This will be the biggest update the game has seen in over a year.

Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile was designed by NetherRealm Studios to bring the DC fighting experience to mobile devices. It has a collectible card mechanic and 3-on-3 tag team combat. Now players can assemble a three-man team of Suicide Squad villains to brawl with.

The new content will include a new character, skins, special in-game events, rewards, and more. Challenge, Multiplayer, and Survivor mode have been updated so that players can earn Suicide Squad rewards, like new companion cards.

Harley Quinn Injustice

The Joker and Harley Quinn are already included in Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile and will be in the new movie as well. The Suicide Squad update will add new skins for those characters inspired by their costumes in the film. For the first time, the assassin Deadshot will be joining the Injustice roster. Not to be confused with the already included Deathstroke who like Deadshot is also an assassin but has enhanced abilities and an iconic two toned mask. Deadshot is often portrayed as the leader of the suicide squad and is being played by Will Smith in the upcoming film.

Deadshot Injustice

Deadshot, not Deathstroke or Deadpool. Deadshot. Got it?

The Suicide Squad content can be acquired as a random draw in Daily Booster Packs that you get with in-game currency from the store. Early Access Bundles for specific characters can be purchased for $19.99. Some of the new content can also be earned as in game rewards.

Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile is available with Suicide Squad content now. The game can be downloaded for free with in-app purchases for iOS and Android.
