Humble Bundle doesn’t just do games – they also dip their toe in the worlds of software and books. This time around, the Humble Book Bundle: Gaming Comics features dozens of individual comics from six different gaming franchises.

The “Pay $1 To Unlock” tier opens with Issues 1-4 of Assassin’s Creed: Locus. This new tale delves into the memories of New Yorker Tommy Greyling as he explores the underworld of Victorian London. It’s joined by the first four issues of Assassin’s Creed: Templars, a title set in 1927 where Darius Gift heads to Shanghai for his first assignment with the Templar Order. Assassin’s Creed Issues 1-5 has readers embark on the tale of Charlotte de la Cruz, a woman in San Diego who gets pulled into the world of Assassins and Templars.

Aside from three different Assassin’s Creed comic lines, the first tier has two other titles. The first four issues of the Dishonored comic has Corvo Attano trying to train an apprentice twelve years after the events of the first game. The Evil Within Issues #1-4 is a prequel series to the game The Evil Within (Our Review of the game), a survival horror game developed by the creator of the Resident Evil games.

Dark Souls: The Breath of Andolus has our heroine goving after the Dragon Augerer. Any guy who literally drills into dragons must be pretty scary.

Dark Souls: The Breath of Andolus Issues #1-4 is the first item in the “Pay $8 To Unlock” Tier; it’s an original tale of visceral horror set in the Dark Souls universe.

This is joined by the first four issues of Assassin’s Creed: Uprising, a tale set around the time of the completion of the Phoenix Project and featuring Charlotte de la Cruz still mixed up in the world of Assassins and Templars. Assassin’s Creed: Awakening #1-6 takes readers back to the world of Edward Kenway, the main character in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag (Our Review of the game).

Issues 6-10 of the Assassin’s Creed comic featuring Charlotte de la Cruz has her continuing her adventures and exploring the Inca Empire through her genetic memories. Assassin’s Creed: Templars #6-9 features a brand-new story arc following the conclusion of Darius Gift’s mission in Shanghai.

The Emperor Protects! …but it does no harm to carry a massive war hammer. (Warhammer: Dawn of War III #1)

Assassin’s Creed continues with Issues #11-14 in the “Pay $15 or More” Tier. Charlotte de la Cruz has a new story arc where the Assassin cell must band together to fight a growing threat – will she go it alone, or is it time to call in some backup? Assassin’s Creed: Origins #1 takes readers back to the very beginning of the order of assassins, and Assassin’s Creed: Reflections #1-4 features four brand-new adventures with fan-favorite assassins Edward Kenway, Altair, and Ezio Auditore de Firenze. Suffice to say, if you love the Assassin’s Creed series, you’ll be getting a lot out of this bundle.

Warhammer: Dawn Of War III #1 has the Blood Ravens searching for their missing Chapter Master Gabriel Angelos on the Imperial Knight planet of Cyprus-Ultima. Being a Warhammer comic, you can expect a heck of a lot of shooting, terrifying monsters, and more testosterone than a Texas bodybuilding convention.

The first two issues of the Tekken comic explores the world of the games following the sacrifice of Jin Kazama in his attempt to defeat the demon Azazel. If you’d like to read about a slightly-less colorful cast of characters battling demons, Dark Souls: Winter’s Spite Issues #1-4 is another tale set in the Dark Souls universe.

Two single issues close out the Pay $15 or More Tier of the Humble Book Bundle: Gaming Comics. The Evil Within: Interlude #1 has Detective Sebastian Castellanos investigating a brutal murder in Krimson City that may lead to a better understanding of his encounter at Beacon. Dishonored: The Peeress and the Price #1 is the final comic on offer – it has Emily Kaldwin returning to Dunwall following an adventure with Corvano Attano in a story set after the conclusion of Dishonored 2 (Our Review of the game).
