Hand of the Gods: SMITE Tactics is set in the same world than SMITE. In this game, though, gods from mythologies of all around the world will face each other in a strategic turn-based battle instead of a definitely more frenetic MOBA. A Collectible Card Game set in the world of SMITE, the ever clashing battleground of the gods, is a fascinating concept that can be interesting if done correctly. The game is already in open beta on PC and went under a good number of refinements in its gameplay but it still needs some polish in order to live to its potential.

Those who are interested in trying the game will have the chance to do so during PAX West at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle from September 1 to September 4. Hi-Rez will be present at the event with a panel to introduce Hand of the Gods to the world. A tournament open to all the ticket holders will be held during the event. Participants will have the chance to meet the devs and to participate in the competition for a cash prize worth $5,000 and two tickets for the Hi-Rez Expo. Attendees will also have the chance to receive the usual gadgets and codes for the console alpha. Hi-Rez will also show off Hand of the Gods during Gamescom the 25th of August so you may want to drop by if you get the chance.

What do you think of Hi-Rez's CCG? Are you playing the PC open beta or you will register to the console's closed alpha? Are you interested in Hand of the Gods console version? Let us know in the comments below!
