Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is being re-released again.

Square Enix has announced today that Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be coming to the PC with a major graphical overhaul and new gameplay features, exclusively on Steam.

“Developing Final Fantasy Type-0 HD for Steam gave us the opportunity to fully realize our original vision of the game in an enhanced and refined experience exclusively for PC players,” said Director Hajime Tabata.

The game will feature an updated battle camera, steam achievements and trading cards, toggles for scalable motion blur and a screen shot mode. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will sport updated graphics, and other gameplay tweaks including an increased blood levels and new character speed boosts. The game shall also offer full PC controller support.

The team-up is exclusively with Valve and offers a pre-order promotion package that showcases the collaboration between the two publishers. Those who pre-order Final Fantasy Type-0 HD by August 18 will receive the Master Chocobo as your courier and a Class Zero Moogle as your ward in DOTA 2. Square Enix will also give players an exclusive Final Fantasy Type-0 HD loading screen for DOTA 2.

Final Fantasy Type-0 began as a PSP, Japanese exclusive title, which pitted a class of teenagers embroiled in a world war against other nations and unseen forces. The game was never intended to be released outside of Japan, but a strong fan campaign prompted Square to announce in 2014 that a HD remake would be released for the Xbox One and PS4. Since then, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD has sold over one million units worldwide.

Square Enix has released the PC requirements for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, as well as several screens showing off the PC port. The game is slated to be released on August 18th on Steam.

Pedantic correction: FF Type 0 was originally a PSP game, not the Vita.

Lemme fix that right there. My bad.

Already pre-ordered. Thankfully steam’s new refund policy will allow me to get my money back if it ends up boned.

I’m stay as fare away from the FF13 series *curse* as possible and I doubt that the they have fixed the motion blur and camera issues that would give any normal human being a hangover after 10 min. But hey if they really have fixed that I can only say the following…

Will like to thank all the console players for testing out the game for us… THE PC MASTER race 😛
