Each new release in the Smash Bros. series brings with it a wealth of wonderful Nintendo music arrangements. Brawl in particular provided a ridiculous amount of quality covers and medleys, and the new Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS is looking to be no different. With unique stages and songs in each entry, it’s shaping up to be a wonderful time for the Nintendo music lover. Over the weekend those of us who don’t live in Japan or import got to sit idly by as the new Smash Bros for 3DS released to the Japanese public. With it, the floodgates holding back all the information about the game broke, and now pretty much nothing is a secret any longer.
Besides seeing the full roster in action, getting the excellent soundtrack injected into me was what I was most excited about. Fortunately, Youtube user Crunchii [VG OST’s] has gotten the remixes and arrangements from the 3DS entry up onto his channel, all with extended cuts to boot. I hope you have your musical schedule cleared up, because each track clocks in at 15 minutes, and the playlist filled with mixes currently sits at a whopping 100 songs. At this point it could be considered spoilers if you want to keep the experience fresh, but if you truly have the drive that means you have over 24 hours of glorious Smash Bros. music to enjoy.
With any luck, it’ll help lessen the pain of waiting for those of us unfortunate enough to not have our own copies yet.
