Fallout 4 will be getting a High-Res Texture Pack on PC as well as official PS4 Pro Support in an update next week according Bethesda’s website.

Bethesda has announced that their post-apocalyptic FPSRPG Fallout 4 will be getting an update next week that’s going to pretty up the game for PC and PS4 owners. PC users will be getting a High-Resolution Texture Pack as a free download. The High-Res Texture Pack will require an additional 58 GB of hard drive space – quite the hefty update indeed. Additionally, Bethesda recommends 8+ GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 1080 or equivalent, and an Intel i7-5820K or better in order to get the best performance with the enhanced textures.

As for PS4 Pro owners, the game will be getting official support for the console. The update to the PS4 version of the game will include a native 1440p resolution and enhanced Godray effects. Draw distance for grass, trees, NPCs, and other objects is also being increased.

Aside from the graphical updates, Bethesda has stated that they are bringing new features to mod content for both PC and PS4 owners of the game. What exactly these new features will be is up in the air – the company has stated that they’ll share more details on this particular part of the update next week.

On the off chance you haven’t yet picked up Fallout 4, you can grab the base game on sale over at DLGamer for $19.80 – 67% off the list price. You’ll have to act quick as this particular sale expires at 5PM Eastern Time. Unfortunately for the sales hounds out there, the Season Pass is priced regularly at most digital retailers for $49.99, although DLGamer also has it on sale at 45% off for $27.50!

I've had a controller in my hand since I was 4 and I haven't stopped gaming since. CCGs, Tabletop Games, Pen & Paper RPGs - I've tried a whole bunch of stuff over the years and I'm always looking to try more!
