Earlier this week, Dragon Age Keep: A companion app to allow players to compile choices and decisions from Dragon Age II and Dragon Age: Origins so that their decisions will carry over into Dragon Age: Inquisition was announced to be in open beta. It has also been announced however that the Dragon Age Keep will have even more functionality regarding a tie-in browser game called Dragon Age: The Last Court. Now not only will the Keep be a useful application in order to keep decisions and world states together in a manageable way, but also add a bit of story content that hasn't been experienced before.

Dragon Age: The Last Court has been created by Failbetter Games in conjunction with the Dragon Age Keep developers as well as Bioware; Failbetter games is a developer known for games such as Fallen London and Sunless Sea, which gives them plenty of credit regarding fantastic storytelling and game building. Dragon Age: The Last Court bridges the gap between Dragon Age II and Dragon Age: Inquisition by introducing players to an unseen part of the land of Orlais called "Serault" and though the setting is new as with most Dragon Age affiliated titles there's no doubt that we'll see familiar faces as well. This is the statement Failbetter Games gave about Dragon Age: The Last Court -

"In Dragon Age: The Last Court, you are the ruler of Serault: an eccentric fiefdom at the farthest ends of Orlais. As the Huntress or the Scholar you’ll guide your realm through the most crucial period in its history. Will its ancient Shame be forgiven? Or will Serault fall into obscurity?

This is a game of lordship. You’ll manage the affairs of your court. You’ll choose a counsellor, a bodyguard, an accomplice and a lover. You’ll balance the concerns of your subjects. Will Serault be renowned for its dignity or its freedom? What is the greatest threat: outlaws, revolutionaries, or the the nameless ancient things that slither in its deep woods? There are stories to explore and secrets to unravel. What lies in the Sealed Chantry? Who is the Horned Knight? Who is behind Serault’s recent troubles? You’ll meet a host of new characters, like the Purveyor of Teas and the Acerbic Dowager. And maybe you’ll run into a few familiar faces from other Dragon Age titles…"

Dragon Age: The Last Court will be released in just over a week, and it has been revealed earlier this week during a Twitch.tv livestream that The Last Court has one decision in particular that will effect Dragon Age: Inquisition and "future titles" though it has not been revealed just yet how the events of The Last Court will make their impact. Check out the videos below that have been created to give a sneak peek at The Last Court.
