The next Assassin’s Creed game will be, Assassin’s Creed Victory, set in 19th century London.  The leak came by way of a Kotaku source, according to them the game will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The source has also said that Victory will be the only Assassin’s Creed game out next year, not following the format of two games like this year, Assassin’s Creed Unity ans Assassin’s Creed Rogue.

The development is being led by Ubisoft’s office in Quebec, not Ubisoft Montreal who have been responsible for developing most of the major games in the series since 2007.

Kotaku have also reported that they saw a seven minute gameplay video which showed off its city traversal, combat and a new grapple hook.

Ubisoft have provided a statement that seems to confirm this leak.

It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we’re disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public,” a representative said. “The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we’re excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassin’s Creed Unity for players.

With Assassin’s Creed Unity launching with a myriad of problems, perhaps people will be cautious of this game or maybe the schedule that Ubisoft has for the Assassin’s Creed series will have to be looked at. Either way Assassin’s Creed Victory is reported to be out fall 2015.

    Yeah, no.
I’m one of those poor saps who pre-ordered Unity. Never again.
I have 14 hours in Unity on record, ten of these I was struggling to get the game to work.
Sorry, Ubi, I’m no longer interested.

  • Raiiban

Shouldn’t they work on finishing Unity before they start the next game? It’s still a broken pile.

  • cptk

I wonder if Britain will still be the enemy in this one.

  • lucben999

That’s what they say in the official statement. It looks like the disaster known as Unity is making them kinda worried, but I still don’t see them doing anything meaningful to fix it.

  • Reptile

Know that feeling, I felt that when I pre-ordered Assassin’s Creed III.
    Welcome aboard!

  • Reptile

Unfortunately they will not have time to insert a significant enemy this time. You know, deadline and stuff.

Assassin’s Creed: Reskin #8 – Now with 73% More Crumpets!

  • Adam Weisgaupt

And it is a fucking reskin, shamelessly so. Victorian London right after French revolution? Oh wow, this is certainly new.

  • Sebastian Mikulec

Ubisoft is a French company, hence Britain will always be the enemy.

I can’t wait for future games in the series. I’m particularly excited for ‘Assassin’s Creed: Revengeance’, ‘Assassin’s Creed: Redemption’, ‘Assassin’s Creed: Subtitle’, ‘Assassin’s Creed: Still Not Asia’ and ‘Assassin’s Creed 2 Arena Ultimax’.

This is the future of Assassins Creed:

How about fixing Unity, hmm? Also, this particular assassin outfit looks out of place in Victorian London. The screenshot with saleswoman offering top-hat to protagonist is especially hilarious.

  • Emma Moure

Unity is struggling and they are making a new game already?

  • Psichaos

So, who wants to place bets on Ubisoft actually having learned anything from the botched mess that is Unity?
