Synduality: Echo of Ada Magus Customization

Bandai Namco has been fairly quiet about its upcoming mecha game Synduality: Echo of Ada since its delay announced last year, but today we get to see more.

This time around the developer provided an extensive look at the customization options included in the game for both the Magus (which is the player's partner) and the Cradle Coffin, which is the mecha we'll get to pilot.

For both we get to see a lot of examples on top of the customization menus themselves.

Synduality: Echo of Ada Magus and Cradle Coffin Options

For the Magus, you can select their support functions based on their type, their physique, their hairstyle, their costume, and much more.

In terms of the Cradle Coffin, you can choose its parts including body, arms, and legs, on top of its weapons.

Everything is showcased in the trailer, which you can watch below. Incidentally, the trailer is exclusively in Japanese, and a Western version has not been released just yet. That being said, it should be fairly easy to follow since character customization is pretty self-explanatory.

Update: The English version of the trailer has been released. You can watch it below.

Interestingly, Bandai Namco also announced that an in-person trial session will be hosted in Tokyo on February 18 with a new build of the game, but applications are limited to the official Discord server,  which is only in Japanese. We don't know if a similar offer will be made for the West at any point, but it's unlikely. The deadline for the application is February 2.

Synduality: Echo of Ada will come for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. While it was originally announced for a 2023 release, it has been delayed beyond last year and no new release window has been announced. Even in the description of today's trailer, it's indicated as "TBA."

I actually played a demo of the game at a pre-Tokyo Game Show event in September last year at Bandai Namco's HQ in Tokyo, so you can read my hands-on preview with my opinion on the gameplay and a bunch of details you may have missing.

It's worth mentioning that if you want to learn more about the franchise and its world, you don't need to wait for the game. It's a mixed-media franchise and an anime series has already been released and it's currently available to stream on Disney+.
