A new Planet Zoo DLC pack has been announced, and this one's bringing things a little closer to home with some barnyard animals.
Previous Planet Zoo DLC packs have revolved around Eurasian wild animals, endangered species, and southeast Asian critters, to name but a few, but this one's all about animals you might find in, well, a barnyard near you.
The aptly-named Barnyard Animal Pack DLC brings seven new animals to care for, and your guests will even be able to interact with them. I envy those guests, given how cute these species are.
Here are the seven new animals you can look forward to if you pick up the Barnyard Animal Pack DLC.
- Highland cattle
- Sussex chicken
- Alpine goat
- Alpaca
- American standard donkey
- Hill Radnor sheep
- Tamworth pig
As well as these animals, you can also look forward to more than 60 new "rustic" pieces of scenery for your zoo, allowing your new animals to feel at home and giving your guests a more immersive experience.
These pieces include straw bales, which your guests can use as benches, as well as new fences, gates, and foliage types, all of which should go together to create a welcoming and cozy farmland environment for your zoo's visitors.
Not only are you getting all this new stuff, but Barnyard Animal Pack also brings a new campaign scenario in which you'll team up with Tiffany Summers to create your very own animal sanctuary.
Set against the backdrop of the beautiful New Zealand countryside, the mission will see you transform "dilapidated barns and forgotten pastures" into a home in which animals can feel safe.
Planet Zoo's Barnyard Animal Pack DLC launches on April 30th on PC. It doesn't seem that the DLC is coming to the recently-released console version of the game yet, but watch this space for more info.
