A Phyrexia: All Will Be One leak has made it online. The newest Magic: The Gathering set, continuing the overarching story from The Brothers War, focuses on the titular Phyrexians. In the lore of Magic, the Phyrexians are an evil group of biomechanical beings all about making twisted constructs of metal and flesh to do their bidding.

Descendants of the old Phyrexians who were Magic's earliest ongoing villain, this group first appeared in Scars of Mirrodin block, when they reshaped it into New Phyrexia. They have been popping up around the multiverse for a while, starting with Kaldheim, before taking more prominent roles in sets like Kamigawa Neon Dynasty, and especially Dominaria United. Their most insidious of abilities is "compleating" someone, which is converting another creature into a Phyrexian, changing not just their body but their mind to where they live to serve and forward the will of their masters.

Following the reveal earlier this week that 10 planeswalkers would be in Phyrexia: All Will Be One, and that five of them will be compleated, much like Tamiyo and Ajani were in recent sets. At the time Wizards didn't reveal who would be, but the new leak shows three of the compleated planeswalkers.

The Phyrexia: All Will Be One leaked cards

The Phyrexia: All Will Be One leak happened on a Magic subreddit. The post is titled "three compleated Planeswalkers" and includes an image of someone holding up three cards. The cards appear to be alternate art foils of three Planeswalkers from Phyrexia: All Will Be One. Those Planeswalkers are the mind sculptor Jace Beleren, the gorgon Vraska, and elven animist Nissa Revane. The text of the cards even specifies that these characters have been compleated, with the compleated ability.

There is some merit to this Phyrexia: All Will Be One leak. As part of an official first look at the set, Wizards of the Coast did confirm that ten Planeswalkers would appear in the set as new cards, and that a few of them would be fighting on behalf of the Phyrexians. Jace, Vraska, and Nissa are among the ten planeswalkers listed. In addition, the alternate art shown in the leaked image is consistent with the "Step and Compleat" borderless foil treatment for other cards in the set. It also confirms that the character of Koth is still himself, as his card artwork is featured in the post with no biomechanical changes.

The preview holds some additional information about Phyrexia: All Will Be One. This includes new borderless manga art of certain cards illustrated by various Japanese artists including the acclaimed horror artist Junji Ito and new Borderless Ichor cards featuring abstract oil versions of characters like Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines, reflecting the glistening oil of Phyrexia. In addition, there will be new borderless versions of the set's various Praetor cards. These will be reprints of Praetors from recent sets, and will be legal as those sets are. Finally, Phyrexia: All Will Be One will feature "Universes Within" versions of cards found in the Street Fighter Secret Lair. Functionally, these are cards that share the same rules and mechanics as the Street Fighter cards, but have been altered to fit inside the Magic universe. They will be available in Set boosters, as part of The List.

Phyrexia: All Will Be One will be available globally on February 10.
