Wizards of the Coast have announced new details for upcoming sets for Magic The Gathering, as well as ways for new players to get into the game.

First, we get a sneak peek at the next set focusing on the horror-themed world of Innistrad. The land were vampires, werewolves, and living nightmares roam free has fallen once again into darkness after the avenging angel Avacyn vanished. Evil is rising once again, and the people of this world are running scared. After all, there is plenty to fear in the shadows.

According to their post, there will be two sets based on the setting. Innistrad: Midnight Hunt will focus more on the villagers assembling their Harvesttide Festival while hoping the long night full of terrors will end, as well as the werewolves that stalk them from the shadows. Second is Innistrad: Crimson Vow, which will focus more on the aristocracy of vampires as they connive and scheme in an effort to attend an exclusive wedding and reception. The post continues that the Magic Showcase 2021, scheduled for broadcast on August 24th, will go into further detail on these two new sets.

Innistrad: Midnight Hunt will be coming to Magic Arena and Magic Online on September 16. Physical releases will include a prerelease pack between September 17 and 23, with themed boosters, and two commander decks going on sale on September 24. Innistrad: Crimson Vow will join Magic Arena and Magic Online November 11 with a physical prerelease set for November 12-18 as well as themed boosters and Commander decks releasing on November 19.
