A new Humble Bundle has been made available. The aptly named Best of Magpie Book Bundle compiles Magpie Games' most distinct TTRPG products and several ashcan products for those curious about design.
The Best of Magpie Book Bundle Announcement
According to its campaign page, the Best of Magpie Book Bundle contains digital DRM-free PDFs of multiple core rulebooks, supplements, and prewritten adventures developed and published by Magpie Games.
The TTRPGs included in this bundle are several iconic series using the Powered By The Apocalypse system. These include Root: The RPG, Avatar Legends, and Masks: A New Generation. Furthermore, the bundle contains more eclectic projects like Bluebeard's Bride and multiple anthologies for the FATE system.
Lastly, the Best of Magpie Book Bundle contains several experimental RPGs as well as a few ashcan experiences. Ashcan refers to projects that were either in early development or incomplete, but still playable. These include the medical drama The Ward: Acute Care Edition, the sci-fi survival game Our Last Best Hope, and the shape-shifting alien drama Passing.
There are three different levels of bundle in the Best of Magpie Book Bundle. They are as follows:
- Pay At Least $5: PDF copies of Our Last Best Hope, Passing: Ashcan Edition, The Play's The Thing, By No Means Vulgar, Crossroads Carnival, The Ward: Acute Care Edition, and Fate Codex Anthologies Years One, Two, and Three.
- Pay At Least $15: Everything above and PDF copies of Undying, Masks: A New Generation Core Rulebook, Masks: Halcyon City Herald Collection, Masks: Unbound, Masks: Secrets of AEGIS, Cartel RPG, Pasion de las Pasiones, and Epyllion: A Dragon Epic.
- Pay At Least $25: Everything above and PDF copies of Bluebeard's Bride Core Rulebook, Bluebeard's Bride Book of Rooms, Bluebeard's Bride Book of Lore, Bluebeard's Bride Book of Mirrors, Root: The RPG Core Rulebook, Root: The RPG Travelers and Outsiders, Root: The RPG Clearing Booklet, Root The RPG Clearing Map Pack, Avatar Legends Core Rulebook, Avatar Legends Wan Shi Tong's Adventure Guide, Avatar Legends An Urgent Request prewritten adventure, and Avatar Legends Starter Set booklet.
Proceeds from the Best of Magpie Book Bundle will go to support the Child's Play Charity. Child's Play works to channel the goodwill of the gaming community into video games and game systems for sick children in hospitals. They work directly with hospitals to identify, install, and distribute games and consoles for patients.
The bundle will be available until Saturday, April 6th.
