According to an official press release, Asmodee has sent shipments of That Sound Game to various local game stores in the United States, allowing curious customers to find the game on store shelves.

That Sound Game is a fast-paced party game developed by Nat and Cam, a queer couple from Melbourne, Australia. It officially launched in February 2022 and has slowly become a stealth hit online, amassing more than 10 million views across TikTok and Instagram.

Essentially, the game is a variation of charades. Each copy has five decks of category cards. These category cards have different objects or phenomena written on them. Teams of players take turns acting out and identifying the answers to these cards in fast, one-minute rounds.

The twist is how the players act out these prompts. With their hands behind their back, players must use a combination of sound effects and limited movement to act out the prompts on the card. Players are encouraged to get loud and creative.

Furthermore, there are lifeline cards. Uncuff Me lets the acting player use their hands for their prompt. Steal lets an opposing team member steal a point during an opposing team's turn.

In addition to the base game, That Sound Game has an 18+ expansion. The aptly named X-Tension Pack adds 65 additional cards, all packed with adult-oriented, bizarre, and otherwise NSFW sound prompts.

That Sound Game will be available in local game stores across the US on October 27, 2023. The base game will be available at an MSRP of $29.99, and the X-Tension Pack will be sold at an MSRP of $13.99.
