Square Enix has announced big changes to mobile RPG War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, which are intended to cut content delays.

Right now, there are two versions of War of the Visions: Global and Japanese. There's roughly a four-month content delay for Global players when compared to Japanese gamers, but that's set to change soon, according to producer Hiroki Fujimoto.

In a new producer letter on Facebook, Hiroki says that the Global and Japanese versions of the game will merge at the end of September 2023, becoming a single "Worldwide" version instead. This change should result in delays being reduced to one month or less between regions.

You'll soon have much less time to wait for new War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius content compared to its Japanese counterpart.

Although the Worldwide version will result in fewer delays, Hiroki says that the necessities of translation, localization, and QA mean there will still be times when content is released at different times around the world.

It's also important to note that the two versions of the app, Global and Japanese, will remain; there won't be a single app version. This means you won't need to download a new app and can continue playing the one you've currently got.

Hiroki says the dev team has been making schedule changes to accommodate for the release of the Worldwide version in September, but that this has led to a "tighter than usual" release schedule for content.

As such, a new "Road to the Worldwide Version" campaign is being launched, beginning later this week.

You'll get one summon ticket for every 2,000 Visiore you've used for summoning, either free or paid, between March 25th, 2020 and July 4th, 2023. That offer will run until July 25th, so make sure you sign in and get your rewards before then.

Unfortunately, there's nothing in the letter about the rumored Final Fantasy XVI crossover, which could work in a similar way to March's Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade event. You'll have to stay tuned for any potential news on that.
