Telltale Games has come up with quite a few great stories since they've begun developing games. Their "The Walking Dead" series has received critical acclaim by both fans of the television series and people new to the franchise. With news that their Game of Thrones game adaptation (based on both the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series of novels and the Game of Thrones television show crafted by HBO) will be releasing before the end of the year, people are eager to discover more information about what Telltale Games has in store.
Today, Telltale Games has announced that their Game of Thrones adaptation will mirror the complexity and depth of the novels by including five playable protagonists. The choices your protagonists make will affect the fate of each member of the game's "Central Family." This news comes from an interview with Steve Allison, Telltale Games' senior vice president of publishing, which was actually pertaining to their recently released on console version of The Walking Dead season 2, as well as bits about Tales from the Borderlands, another new title that will be bringing the Borderlands franchise to an entirely different arena. Steve Allison was quoted as saying -
"Tales from the Borderlands adds multi-protagonist storytelling for us layered into the tailored narrative design established with The Walking Dead and it works amazingly well with two playable characters. In Game of Thrones we're taking that multi-protagonist design even further with five playable characters from the same family whose choices affect everyone in the family, and that adds a whole new layer to things that we're really excited about."
Allison didn't go into detail on which family the game will focus on, but fans of the series no doubt have plenty of room to speculate. Either way we will find out soon when Telltale Games' Game of Thrones adaptation releases by the end of this year.
