With all of the Wild Area events being touted for Pokemon Sword and Shield, we often forget that the games Mystery Gift system is seeing some distribution as well.
Mystery Gift is an old mechanic, first introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver, where players would trade Pokemon or items with each other for increasingly rarer items. Today, it serves as an online distribution method between The Pokemon Company and players, previously used during the 3DS years to distribute via code or download rare, legendary or mythical Pokemon.
For now though, Mystery Gift has been home to several codes that are giving players tons of extras for the Galar journey, from rare Pokeballs such as the apricorn-made Heavy Ball, Moon Ball, and Love Ball, Battle Points, and even a Gold Bottle Cap for hyper training.
The codes are given a decent interval of time to be redeemed -roughly a month - with a few of the codes set to expire on January 15th. Below is a list of all current codes, courtesy of the Pokemon Trade Reddit forum. Note that all of these codes are region free.
Ball Codes
PRES-ENT - 10 Luxury Balls - expires January 30th, 2020
G1GA-NTAM-AX - 20 Battle Points - expires January 30th, 2020
0T0S-H1DA-MA - 10 Dive Balls - expires January 30th, 2020
KAMP-FTEA-M - 20 Battle Points - expires February 28th, 2020
GALA-R - 1 Bottle Cap - expires February 28th, 2020
AREA - S1LV-ESTR-E - 10 Premier Balls - expires February 28th, 2020
No doubt more codes will be added and removed for the Mystery Gift function, so players should check the official twitter sources or updated lists like the above to stay up to date on these little giveaways.
