Today, to celebrate Anime Japan, Bandai Namco announced two well-known characters that will be playable in the upcoming anime game Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream.
The two characters are Llenn and Fukaziroh from the spin-off series Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online.
The timing of the announcement isn't random, as a second series is coming, aptly titled Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II.
We also learn that Lenn is a Rogue and Fukaziroh is a Ranger. Of course, they will be voiced by their usual voice actresses Tomori Kusunoki and Chinatsu Akasaki.
Both characters have been shown in a new trailer, which includes both gameplay and cutscenes. You can check them out below

Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream was announced last month during the latest Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. That being said, it's a multiplatform game and it's coming in 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC
The game is set in ALfheim Online, but a new system named Galaxia has been added, allowing players to relive the past. When the system inevitably (it's SAO after all) goes out of control, it displaces players from all over time and space to be displaced.
Of course, it falls to Kirito to fix things, but this time around he'll have to work together with both friends and foes who he thought were gone.
The game supports online multiplayer with up to 20 players, on top of single player obviously.
It'll certainly be interesting to see how Bandai Namco and Dimps will manage to bring back the series once again after many believed it had ended after the Underworld arc with Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris and Sword Art Online Last Recollection.
