When Nintendo held their Super Mario 35th anniversary Nintendo Direct, they revealed some pretty cool things. Super Mario 3D All-Stars, the Game and Watch Super Mario , Super Mario Bros. 35, and more. But one item that caught many people's eye was the Super Mario 35th anniversary pin collection, that could be gotten by buying Super Mario 3D All Stars, and doing a few other Nintendo related things.
While some of the items in that Direct, like Super Mario 3D All-Stars, and Super Mario Bros. 35 were loudly proclaimed to be a limited time, the Super Mario 35th anniversary pin collection kept it to a much quieter asterisk on pages saying 'while supplies last'. But, one would think that having seen the popularity of the Nintendo Classic, and knowing how big Mario is, that Nintendo would have thought to ensure they had a large supply of the pins, or be prepared to order more to at least say... make it through September. If so, and if you were planning on redeeming your quests for a Super Mario 35th anniversary pin collection, I must apologize, and tell you that it will not be possible as the limited stock has already been claimed (no confirmation if Wario is behind the shortage at this time).
Turns out even the PIN SET Nintendo offered for completing all of their #Mario35thAnniversary missions was in limited stock too. Hundreds of people finally got their game purchase (and the final mission requirement) verified and accessed the homepage only to be greeted with this. pic.twitter.com/DXHVbmjThB

We reached out to Nintendo of America's spokespeople for further information, including seeking clarification if this would be restocked. At this time they have not responded, although we will update this story when/if we learn more.
Thus if you want to see the pins, all I can provide for you is an image from the site:

What do you think of the limited quantity of the Super Mario 35th anniversary edition pins? Do you think Nintendo messed up with another extremely short supply limited-time item? Let us know in the comments below!
