While at Gen Con 2016, I had the chance to chat with Cory Heald, the Creative Director at Underbite Games, about their upcoming video game Super Dungeon Tactics.
Super Dungeon Tactics is based on the popular table top game Super Dungeon Explore. This isn't just a direct adaption of a board game like you will find in the annual Monopoly adaptation to consoles, this is a full fledged Tactical RPG!
Just talking with Cory, even before and after the camera was rolling, you could tell his passion for Soda Pop's miniatures. From what I've played, this really shines through in the details replicated with each character model. To give it even more of a tabletop feel, Underbite has even incorporated a unique dice feature into the game.
Cory explains it a lot better than I could in this exclusive 360 degree video shot right in the Super Dungeon Tactics booth at Gen Con. Scroll around with your mouse, or turn your phone / VR headset to see the entire area, including some awesome Super Dungeon Cosplayers!

As Cory described in the video, one of the coolest aspects of the game is its dungeon system. Once your troops set out to explore, it can be several levels in a given mission before it's truly over. This really adds another level of depth to inventory management. Do you use your last healing potion now or save it for the battle ahead?
So far I am really enjoying Super Dungeon Tactics. Check back later this week for the full review!
