Summer Game Fest Xbox One Demo Event Arrives July 2020

Featuring More Than 60 Game Demos

A Summer Game Fest Xbox One demo event will be arriving for Microsoft’s flagship console later this month, giving gamers the opportunity to try out more than 60 brand-new game demos, many of which will be available for the first time on the Xbox One.

Previously, the Summer Game Fest has given PC players the opportunity to try out upcoming games for a limited time via Steam. This virtual event is now being expanded to the Xbox One, and it’s going to have quite a few interesting titles to check out.

Bear in mind, the Summer Game Fest Xbox One demo event isn’t going to have the usual kind of demos you’ll typically see on the Microsoft Store. These demos will only be around for roughly a week — once the event is over, they’ll disappear.

What Games Are in the Summer Game Fest Xbox One Demo Event?

A demo event isn’t much without games, and this upcoming Summer Game Fest event for the Xbox One certainly has some cool titles ready and raring to go. Here’s a sampling of some of the games you’ll be able to play in just a few weeks:

  • Cris Tales - This beautiful indie game is a love letter to classic JRPGs where you can watch your choices change the future right in front of you.
  • Destroy All Humans! - Crypto-137 is back to wreak havoc on mankind! Whether you’re on foot or in your flying saucer, you’ll have a ton of destructive tools at your disposal.
  • Haven - Two lovers escape to a lost planet in order to stay together. Play it with someone your love or control both characters by yourself if you’re forever alone.
  • Hellpoint - This action RPG puts players on Irid Novo, a creepy abandoned space station where you’ll find the Cosmic Gods and their minions.
  • SkateBIRD - It’s basically Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater but with adorable birbs. What’s not to love?
  • The Vale: Shadow of the Crown - This action-adventure game uses 3D spatial sound to enhance your medieval combat experience.
  • Raji: An Ancient Epic - This action-adventure game is set in ancient India. Raji has been chosen by the gods to stand her ground against a demonic invasion — will you be able to defeat the demon lord Mahabalasura?
  • Welcome to Elk - This quirky adventure is based on the experiences of real people and set on an island filled with strange and wonderfully dark characters.

You’ll be able to play these games and more at the Summer Game Fest Xbox One demo event from July 21–27, 2020.

I've had a controller in my hand since I was 4 and I haven't stopped gaming since. CCGs, Tabletop Games, Pen & Paper RPGs - I've tried a whole bunch of stuff over the years and I'm always looking to try more!
