THQ Nordic and the wonderfully-named Owned by Gravity have used their divining sorcery to reveal the SpellForce: Conquest of Eo release date. The tactical strategy game is coming to PC via Steam on February 3rd, giving you the chance to once again prove your strategic and magical mettle on the battlefield.
When Conquest of Eo lands, it'll offer fast-paced turn-based strategy action with a fantasy twist. You are a Mage, and it's up to you to become the most powerful of your kind, fending off challenges from rival Mages. To do so, you'll recruit mighty heroes to adventure across the land, bringing back artefacts and riches, and you'll learn a multitude of magic spells to give you dominion over the very elements. You'll have access to classes like Necromancer, Alchemist, and Artificer, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Necromancers, as you might expect, can control the dead, while Artificers craft glyphs and items to bolster and buff their armies. Whatever your preferred brand of magical might, you'll likely find it on offer in SpellForce: Conquest of Eo.
This being a 4X game, you'll have to expand your territory, seek out resources from the land around you, and deal with the rival forces that threaten your power. You'll have access to a mobile wizard tower that you can upgrade with new rooms and chambers, so if you've ever wanted to literally lord it over a horde of undead from your necromancer's crypt, you can do that here.
