Sony's multimedia plans at E3 were elaborated upon this evening shortly after discussing the Morpheus headset. Sony's Spotify-backed Playstation Music streaming service will see expansion in the coming months. The Playstation Vue, Sony's cloud-based TV service, will have additional television channel options without requiring any commitment to a cable box or a contract.
The premium network Showtime will be available through this service, much to the delight of cord-cutters. Machinima has even agreed to create an exclusive network for the service. While TV streaming services might not be for everyone, the inclusion of more channels into the service may be enough to convince those on the fence to take the jump.
