The latest in the Shin Megami Tensei series by Atlus, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final, had a fifteen minute gameplay video showing up online yesterday.

The video, posted by Nintendo Everything, showcases fifteen minutes of gameplay, including the battle system, demon negotiation and fusing, and even a boss battle against the being Sakuna-Hikona. The video is in Japanese only, and comes from the livestream of Sega's Nama NicoNico Broadcast.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final is a direct sequel of the original Shin Megami Tensei IV, which was released back in 2013 on the Nintendo 3DS. The development team behind the game includes many of the original staff members from IV, including character designer Masayuki Doi and producer  Kazuyuki Yamai.  According to a preview posted by Famitsu (and translated by gematsu), the team is also bringing back the original Japanese voice cast, and will allow a save transfer between the two games to unlock items and equipment. Characters and demons are also getting slight redesigns as well.

The main theme for Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final stems from the word "decide." According to Atlus, the team has looked at player feedback from the previous game and have incorporated new themes and ideas based upon previous criticism. One major change is the game itself will not follow the three-tiered alignment system found in Shin Megami Tensei IV. The team at Atlus has promised that the game will provide multiple endings that would be neutral to some degree.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final is slated for a February 2016 release in Japan. There is currently no word when the game will come to North America or Europe, however, but Atlus and Sega will likely announce a release date soon for the game.

So what do you think of the video? Are you excited to see more Shin Megami Tensei? Leave your comments below.
