Frogwares has teased a Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments Switch port in a recent Christmas-themed tweet. The tweet none-too-subtly shows a Switch graphic with the letters "C&P" emblazoned across its screen, hinting at an upcoming port of the celebrated detective adventure game.
What do we know about the Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments Switch port?
You can see the Frogwares tweet with the "cryptic" hint right here. The tweet, which is a holiday greeting to fans from the Ukrainian developer, also shows off an altered version of the key art from recent adventure title Sherlock Holmes Chapter One (which we loved, by the way). In the artwork, Sherlock is lying on a chalk outline of Santa Claus, and next to him is a sketched Nintendo Switch graphic with the letters "C&P" visible on the console's screen.
As part of the tweet, Frogwares also says it's giving away 10 game codes. The studio doesn't say for which game, but presumably, it's Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, as this is the game the artwork is depicting. All you need to do if you want to be in with a chance of winning a code is to like, comment on, or retweet the original tweet. Frogwares will pick the winners tomorrow, so make sure you get your entry in before then if you want a code.
When can we expect a Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments Switch release date?
As of yet, Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments hasn't been officially announced for Nintendo Switch. The only hint we have that the detective adventure game is coming to Nintendo's console is the above artwork. Still, we can probably expect a Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments Switch release date soon, along with an official announcement for the game. Here's hoping they bring Chapter One to Switch as well. There's a last-gen version on the way next year, so perhaps Frogwares can find it in their hearts to port Chapter One to Switch.
In the meantime, it looks like Switch owners will need to content themselves with Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments. If you haven't played it, Crimes and Punishments is an episodic detective adventure starring an adult Sherlock and his companion, John Watson, as they solve a series of cases together. It's a rather lovely little game, although it does have its issues. We're excited to see it make its way to Switch so more people can check out this underrated adventure series.
