At the Upload VR Showcase, a trailer for Panther VR was shown off. If you've ever wanted a first-person VR Hitman or Splinter Cell, Panther VR looks to be like the game for you. If it's something you're interested in, you can get it on Steam in early access right now.
In Panther VR, you take on the role of a Panther agent, an elite master thief who is part of the "Guild." It's an organization that provides these master thieves for a pretty penny, with contracts that range from stealing artifacts to top secret plans.
Before a contract, you'll plan your heist and choose the gear you'll be bringing with you. This is where you can decide how you want to manage each contract. If you want, you can try to go in and out unseen. Of course, you'll also have the option to kill everyone you see and blast your way through to the item you've been sent to retrieve.
There will be a lot of weapons and gadgets to choose from, too, and some things you can use within the level. Shown in the trailer is a bullet time mechanic too, so you can lay waste to a bunch of enemies at once. Though, as useful as it is to just kill everyone, using the environment to your advantage will be key in Panther VR.
Panther VR is being developed by Wolfdog Interactive and Blackjard Softworks. Right now, it is available for SteamVR, but there has been no word on if it will make its way to other platforms.There's no word yet on when a full release will be coming either, but you can play it now in early access.
