Korean horror-thriller show Kingdom is getting a multiplayer action RPG spinoff. Kingdom: The Blood takes place in the same world as the K-zombie show and will be available on both PC and mobile when it launches.
What do we know about Kingdom: The Blood?
The upcoming K-zombie RPG is being developed by Korean mobile studio Action Square, whose name you might recognize from mobile titles like Gigantic X or Blade for Kakao. Kingdom: The Blood is focusing on "staying true to the Netflix series", according to a press release; it'll espouse the same themes of lineage and royal bloodline that the TV show explores. Here's the game's announcement trailer, which gives us a first look at its world and moody aesthetic.
Kingdom: The Blood will be built on Unreal Engine 4 and will be released on PC and mobile, although there's no word yet as to whether the game will support cross-play. In the press release, Action Square says it's aiming to "recreate the world of the original drama", bringing the vivid zombie battles to life using motion capture. The studio describes the game rather enigmatically as a "manual control-based action RPG" with multiple "stages".
When is the Kingdom: The Blood release date?

Unfortunately, we don't have much information regarding when we'll be able to get our hands on this game. The Kingdom: The Blood release date is shrouded in mystery; Action Square promises "future announcements" in which it reveals more about the multiplayer RPG, including a release date. It looks like we're going to have to wait a little longer to get our hands on this one. Naturally, we'll bring you more as soon as we get it. Fingers crossed for a gameplay reveal soon.
