Shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account, the announcement mentions that the event will be a "business update event," encouraging fans to stay tuned.

This comes after rumors have started circulating alleging that a number of Xbox exclusive games may be released on rival console platforms, prompting part of the community to worry about the future of the brand.
At the moment, we don't know what will be announced, and the event has not been officially dated. Yet, of course, we'll keep you posted as soon as Microsoft shares more details.
Microsoft just recently announced its financial results, including large revenue increases for its gaming business in the past quarter thanks to the $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
The company also boosted the growth of its monthly active users to 200 million, while CEO Satya Nadella mentioned that "great content is key" to the company's growth across its portfolio and he has "never been more excited" about the lineup of upcoming games.
It's worth mentioning that Microsoft already has games on rival consoles, including Minecraft and all the games on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch it has acquired with Activision Blizzard and Bethesda. The company also releases its PC games on Steam, which is by all means a rival platform to its Microsoft Store.
During the run-up to the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Microsoft also pledged to continue releasing the Call of Duty franchise on PlayStation platforms and to extend its presence to Nintendo's consoles.
