Nintendo has revealed that classic party game Mario Party 3 is making its way to Nintendo Switch Online later this week.

The game will join other N64 games like Excitebike 64Pokemon Snap, and Pokemon Stadium as part of the Expansion Pack lineup, which also includes a number of Sega Genesis and Game Boy Advance games.

Mario Party 3 will hit Switch Online on October 27th and will feature four-player local play, just like the original N64 game.

Prepare to feel rage as only Mario Party can make you feel.

The Nintendo Switch Online version of Mario Party 3 will have sharper visuals than the original, but otherwise, this is very much the same N64 party game you know and love (or loathe).

Mario Party 3 was originally released for Nintendo 64 in 2000, subsequently seeing a Western release in 2001.

The game added two new characters in the form of Daisy and Waluigi, as well as introducing "70 ALL-NEW Mini-Games!", as the box art proudly states.

The final game in the Mario Party series to be released on N64, Mario Party 3 was followed by GameCube title Mario Party 4, which was released in 2002.

Minigames and other content from Mario Party 3 were also included in the Switch's Mario Party Superstars, a sort of "greatest hits" entry in the series that collects several boards and minigames from previous Mario Party titles.

The future of the Mario Party franchise remains to be seen, but for now, it's nice that you can revisit the series' history with Mario Party 3.

You'll be able to do so on Friday, when Mario Party 3 arrives on Nintendo Switch Online via the Expansion Pack addon feature.

Picking up the Expansion Pack also grants access to Switch Online's library of Genesis and GBA games, as well as DLC for Splatoon 2Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
