Mafia 2 PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia rating has appeared on ClassInd, the Brazilian equivalent of the ESRB. This may mean that we're getting Mafia 2 Remastered, although it could just as easily be a port for next-generation consoles.

If you don't remember much about this game, check out the Mafia 2 E3 2010 trailer to get a feel for what we're probably getting soon:

This game did well enough to warrant a sequel with Mafia 3, and now it seems like it may be making a return to modern systems. Twisted Voxel reports that a Mafia 2 PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia listing has appeared on the game's ratings on the Classificação Indicativa website.

Take a look at the new platform listings for yourself:

This is one good sign that Mafia 2 is coming to modern consoles, although there are some issues. To start, it lists the release date for the current-gen consoles as 2010, so we don't get any hints there as to the potential launch window of this game. It's also unclear whether or not this is a port, a remaster, or something else entirely.

That said, it seems like an announcement will be coming very soon; the official Mafia Twitter account has been tweeting once a day at 10:00 AM on the dot for the last two days.

When is the Mafia 2 PS4 Release Date? What About Xbox One and Google Stadia?

So, odds are good that some kind of new version of Mafia 2 is on the way — when are we going to get it?

Unfortunately, the Brazilian rating doesn't specify a new release date for the PS4, Xbox One, or Stadia. That said, we'll probably be getting some kind of announcement this week going by the tweets from the game's official account. I'd put my money on us getting a reveal tomorrow, May 12, 2020.
