Following the reveal of Bungie's extraction shooter Marathon at the PlayStation Showcase, Bungie released an extensive video providing more color.
In the video, a number of developers from the studio explain what you can expect from the game, which focuses on PvP and provides an experience in which the players shape a persistent world with their actions.
We also hear that Bungie intends to go dark for "an extended period" while they focus on developing and playtesting the game. This means that we're unlikely to hear more about Marathon for quite a while. Yet, we get the promise that the next time we hear from them they're going to be much closer to release and ready to show gameplay.
You can watch the video for yourself below and see if it catches your interest.
Marathon is coming at some point in the future for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It will feature full-fledged cross-play and cross-save support.
If you'd like to learn more about the games presented today at the PlayStation showcase besides Marathon, we have an extensive recap article with every single trailer and announcement for your perusal. Speaking of Bungie, we also got the reveal of the new expansion for Destiny 2, titled The Final Shape. Surprisingly, the trailer showcased an old friend whom we all thought was lost.
