I need a good snow resort vacation in my life. Thankfully, the Kinda Funny Games Showcase showed off upcoming content for When Ski Lifts Go Wrong, and now I don't think I want that vacation anymore when I can just play this game.
A puzzle game that looks like a hilarious mix between Happy Wheels and Bridge Constructor, When Ski Lifts Go Wrong has you trying to build ski lifts, ramps, and hills so that your characters can collect medals along the way. Of course, you have to make sure to support these structures correctly, or they'll just collapse when people try to use them. This physics puzzler makes up a good majority of the gameplay.
When Ski Lifts Go Wrong's trailer also serves the dual purpose of showing off the new content that will be added when the game hits full release. One of the biggest additions is summer levels, which has you playing as skateboarders, motorcyclists, and bikers. The game is also adding the ability to play directly as the characters you make levels for, giving you an extra edge when trying to pull off those jumps. Or let you have more fun smashing people into things, if that's more your style. Finally, a sandbox mode will also be added, giving you more creative freedom in how you handle each level. In addition all that, there will also be new songs for the soundtrack. new levels that will bring the game to over 100, and new achievements and Steam Trading Cards as well.
The game original released on Early Access on October 4th, 2017. It's developed by Hugecalf Studios and published by Curve Digital.
When Ski Lifts Go Wrong is available on Early Access right now. It will be fully released on PC and Nintendo Switch in Early 2019.
