Japanese Drift Master is one of the most popular upcoming games on Steam, and today the developers have shared a few of its achievements.
While the demo for the game has now been made unavailable, we learn that it has been downloaded 750,000 times.
The developers have updated the demo 5 times, while the game achieved 29,000 followers on Steam and 16,000 Discord members. On top of that, 2,000 fans took the time to fill out a survey to provide their feedback to improve the game.
Those are definitely impressive numbers, but the game is beautiful and the obvious inspiration from classics like Initial D certainly doesn't hurt.
If you're not familiar with Japanese Drift Master, the game does pretty much exactly what it says on the tin, transporting us to Japan to drift and compete on the famous mountain passes that we've seen in anime and movies like The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
We even play as a foreigner who tries to make a name for himself in the Japanese drifting scene, which totally feels like Tokyo Drift.
Another interesting little easter egg is that the acronym of Japanese Drift Master is "JDM," which also stands for "Japanese Domestic Market" and refers to vehicles and parts created to be sold exclusively in Japan.
As you may very well imagine, they're extremely popular among drifting enthusiasts, and it's just another indication that the folks at Gaming Factory have done their homework to create this game.

Japanese Drift Master is coming for PC via Steam and doesn't have a release date yet.
