Ishtar Games, formerly known as CCCP, has announced its 2023 publishing lineup, and there seem to be quite a few games that will pique interest. Along with that announcement comes the revelation that they will be teaming up with a few other large publishers to make 2023 a year to remember.
Ishtar Games announced that they will be partnering with both Koi Snowman Games and Ludogram to release some very interesting titles in the year to come, as well as self-publishing their own title, Lakeburg Legacies. Ishtar CEO and Creative Director Matthieu Richez commented on the 2023 lineup, stating,
"We are super excited to initiate our indie publishing label’s journey with Koi Snowman and Ludogram. They have brought to us not only excellent games, but also great human beings to work with. I am convinced that this collaboration will bear fruit for all parties involved, which is very important to us."
In response to these kind words, Ludogram CEO Edouard Gaudel responded by stating that the were happy to join in with Ishtar due to their strong ambitions, editorial direction and human qualities. Ishtar has been developing games for over 17 years now, bringing us titles such as Dead in Vinland and The Last Spell. Since 2021, they have been a part of Nacon, which allows them to operate as their indie publishing arm while benefiting heavily from Nacons business infrastructure.
Some of the titles that will be headed our way include Lakeburg Legacies, a social management simulator, where players must make calculated decisions on how to create a thriving kingdom. Spirited Theif is a tactical stealth game with a huge plot twist. Players will embody a spirit that gets the rush of a lifetime by stealing treasures and gems, but the pressure of being a thief becomes greater as you progress. There are several other amazing titles that will be coming to the masses in 2023, and we cannot wait to try each of the titles out as they become available.
