Excuse me for a second; I honestly didn't expect to see this title get localized, let alone so soon. As a big Project DIVA fan - having reviewed both Project DIVA F 2nd, as well as Project DIVA X - I was actually pretty close to just buying the Japanese release of the title on my Japanese PSN account. Obviously, that won't be the case now.
Today SEGA PR has confirmed that they're releasing Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone in the west, on January 10th of next year. Much like the original Japanese release, the rhythm title - with over 200 Vocaloid (!) songs from the Project DIVA franchise and elsewhere, will be split into two parts - Colorful Tone and Future Sounds. Each half goes for $29.99 on their own, and will be available as a digital bundle for $53.99. The title, a PlayStation 4 exclusive, is a port of the Japanese arcade title of the same name. Unlike this year's Project DIVA X, Future Tone will release digital-only, matching the Japanese release.
Since it's a port of an arcade game, the title has a slightly different control scheme compared to its other console contemporaries. It's harder than other titles in the franchise, with some songs featuring a song above the Extreme difficulty present in titles like Project Diva F 2nd or Project Diva X - EXTRA EXTREME. To commemorate the announcement, SEGA has uploaded a trailer for the title - embedded below.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone - both Colorful Tone and Future Sounds - will release on January 10th, 2017 digitally on PlayStation 4. It releases in both North America and Europe. Details about whether or not the DLC that the Japanese release received will come over haven't yet been specified. Will you be picking the title up - if you already bought the Japanese release, are you planning to double-dip?
