"Gigalomaniac" Collector's Edition Announced for Chaos;Child

Today PQube and Rice Digital revealed the "Gigalomaniac" Edition of the upcoming Chaos;Child Visual Novel release for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4. The Limited Edition, which like PQube's other SciAdv releases, will be exclusive to Rice Digital's online store. The contents of the limited edition include a copy of the game for either Vita or PS4, a 128pg softcover art book, a CD selection of music tracks from the game, and a set of 6 pin badges - all in a "high-quality presentation box". The limited edition is available for both PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4, with US and EU varieties. The LE is set to cost $64.99 or your regional equivalent, though do be warned that shipping from the UK to the US will cost $30 unless you order 120 pounds worth of games, which qualifies you for worldwide free shipping. The standard edition of the game can also be found on Amazon, with the Vita release costing $40 (affiliate link) while the PS4 version retails at $60 (affiliate link).

Chaos;Child is a Visual Novel that is part of 5pb's SciAdv series - in other words, it's part of the same franchise as Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0. While technically Chaos;Child is the sequel to Chaos;Head, players should be able to read it without having read the previous title. Unlike the link between Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0, prior knowledge might be recommended but is not necessary. Chaos;Child releases for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita this fall. Quick Take

Although not surprising at this point, it's still a little bit disappointing to see Chaos;Child's Limited Edition exclusive to Rice Digital. Nothing against the store, but at least for players in North America, the shipping is a little ridiculous. $30? No thanks... at least it seems like the cost for the LE isn't too bad on PS4, at least compared to the PS4 version's standard MSRP - even with the shipping included.
