505 Games and developer One More Level have revealed the Ghostrunner 2 release date.
The cyberpunk parkour platformer, which was revealed during the PlayStation Showcase back in May, will officially launch for PC and current-gen consoles on October 26th.
Pre-orders for the game are also now open, and to mark the occasion, 505 Games released a brand new trailer showing off some of Ghostrunner 2's pulse-pounding platforming and combat.
Naturally, the trailer also shows off what is arguably Ghostrunner 2's biggest new addition: its motorcycle gameplay. Now you can die repeatedly on your bike as well as while missing jumps!
You can take a look at the new Ghostrunner 2 trailer right here. The trailer is age-restricted, so we can't embed it, but it's well worth a watch if you're a fan of the original Ghostrunner.
The original Ghostrunner was released on PC and last-gen consoles back in October 2020, eventually also making its way to current-gen machines in September 2021.
It's a cyberpunk parkour hack-and-slash game in which one mistake could mean the difference between surviving and getting murdered, whether you're slashing through hordes of enemies or leaping across pits that demand precision platforming on your part.
Ghostrunner 2 will boast a number of improvements over the original game, according to One More Level and 505 Games.
These improvements include more versatile level design, "more interactive" boss battles, and reworked progression, as well as deeper lore and dialogue, new enemy types, and much more.
In short, if you loved the original Ghostrunner but you wish it was a little more...well...Ghostrunner, then the sequel seems like it'll be a perfect followup for you.
Ghostrunner 2 launches for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 26th. Unlike the original game, we're not likely to see a release on Switch for this one, although stranger things have happened. Stay tuned for more.
